All of my work—whether as a writer, teacher, curator, or artist—is rooted in the belief that arts and culture advance civic participation and engagement in our communities, and provide us invaluable tools and languages to tell stories too long unheard, catalyze and nourish discourse across differences, and imagine and build an equitable and sustainable future.

2022 Annual Memorial Vigil; I coordinate the design and community fabrication of memorial banners for every neighbor who died on San Francisco streets that year.
During the first year of COVID we moved our work to the streets. Among many poster projects, we celebrated community members as their most Opulent selves in wheat-pasted posters.
